Feeling Campy

You know that feeling leading up to a vacation, where you are trying to finish up your work, tie up loose ends, pack, and not forget anything important?  That was me, a couple weeks ago.  I got a good case of anxiety prior to leaving on our trip, which tells me that our destination, Yosemite National Park, was the perfect destination to remind me to slow down.

I hadn't been to Yosemite since I was younger, when my family and I would go every summer.  After our big trip to Croatia last summer, my husband and I decided to keep it local this year in terms of vacation.  He loves to camp, and I remembered loving Yosemite, so we decided that Yosemite would be a great location for us to visit together. Once we arrived, we were both struck by the majestic natural beauty that the park has to offer.  Even better - cell phones, emails, and the like seemed a million miles away.  It was fun rediscovering the park together, and it was even nicer to find that while the world around it runs at a rapid pace, Yosemite hasn't changed all that much from my memories.

We spent the week exploring Yosemite valley through hikes, long bike rides, and other adventures.  We hiked Taft Point, Vernal Falls, Nevada Falls, and Mariposa Grove, rode all through the valley on our beach camp cruisers, and even went exploring via horseback.  We went to bed early, woke up late(ish), and just enjoyed every single minute.  Here are some of my favorite snapshots that we took along the way.
